Meet Your Hosts

Tony & Sharon make up Team Curl, who acheived their Six-Star World Majors Medal after Tokyo Marathon in March 2024. Sharon was the prime motivator behind them taking on the world of running and pursuit of the Abbots 6-Star medal, inspired by an older lady at her work that was on a running journey.

They ran the New York Marathon in 2018 and have since completed the London Marathon in 2022, Boston, Chicago and Berlin in 2023. They ran Tokyo 2024 to gain their six star. Along the way they have also completed the Australian Outback Marathon, Gold Coast, Melbourne and multiple virtuals. Their journey continues and they have found a community of runners challenging themselves to unite with.

Tony & Sharon can attest that there is a lot of fun towards the back of the pack and the challenge to complete the race is always the primary goal. Sharon is the silent partner in the team, while Tony will feature on the panel.

Team Ellis Running comprises of Tara and Tim Ellis, a typical Mum and Dad of two teenagers, who juggle family, work, friends, and health/fitness commitments in an already busy life.  Tim and Tara acheived their Six Star World Majors Medal in New York November 2024.

Tara and Tim are Brisbane, Australia based and enjoy running, travelling and making new friends. Tara and Tim have completed 13 Marathons each in five different countries across three continents.

In addition to Marathons, Tara and Tim have completed numerous multi-day running events, including the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World in Florida, and are regulars at parkrun having run more than 350 parkruns at more than 60 different locations. Tara and Tim are average runners, who get more enjoyment out of sharing tips, and inspiring and encouraging others to get moving through regular running and exercise, rather than chasing PBs and fast times.
