I’m beginning this journey from a place many runners know well — somewhere between proud of how far I’ve come and aware there’s still a long way to go. Right now, my 10km time sits around 1:10, with a personal best of 1:03, and while I’m running consistently, most of my sessions are easy miles without much structure. My calves and hips need strengthening, my speed has faded a little, and pacing is still more art than science. But I’ve also built a solid aerobic foundation, I’m showing up for the work, and I’m ready to turn intention into progress. This is my baseline — honest, imperfect, and completely capable of becoming something stronger.
